~The Drir: A tribal people that live on the islands off the western coast of the Expanse. They were originally practitioners of dark magics who were chased off the Western Expanse during the Purification shortly after the Crusades. Since then, magic has defined them and shaped all aspects of their culture. Drir rituals are closely guarded, and typically only passed down to members of their family.
The Drir isles hold countless drowned sailors who have been raised as undead, serving as a protective buffer for the Drir against the outside world. Any ship that sails too close is pulled under, the sailors that are captured are ritualistically sacrificed then added to the ranks of the dead.

The Drir A tribal people that live on the islands off the western coast of the Expanse. They were originally practitioners of forbidden magic, who were chased off the Western Expanse during the Purification shortly after the Crusades.
Three Main Tribes of The Drir Long ago, in the aftermath that followed the Crusades, All of the Necromancers, Demon Summoners, and Blood mages were driven from the lands in which they orignally dwelt. Most of those long forgotten Malificar were wiped clean from the face of Adelrune, but not all. The Malificar that survived what would later come to be known as the Purges, fled the mainland, and took refuge among a myriad of Swamp Island chains in the south. There, the reanimated Malificar fortified themselves, and began to mingle with the original tribal inhabitants of the Islands. Ages past, and no one can say what happened to those Lost Malificar, but it was not long till sailors learned to give the Drir Isles a wide birth.
-=- The Mortichyte -=-
The Mortichyte specialize in Necromancy, and have strict rules regarding ancestor worship and corpse disposal. This often puts them in direct opposition to the Amimaerun tribe, who cannibalize the entire corpses of both family members, and those they best in combat. While they do ritualistically consume the hearts of their enemies, the Mortichyte never consume the brain, like the more aggressive Amimaerun tribe. The Mortichyte believe that the brain is the seat of soul, and no two souls should ever inhabit one body, least they be driven to madness. Instead, they choose to eat the Heart of powerful foes that have been slain, believe that this will give them the strength and Courage of the foe defeated, alternatively, it is said that eating the heart of a Coward will bring nothing but a swift an untimely death. Their form of ancestor worship comes in the form of raising powerful undead comprised of their family members and on rare occasions, even important individuals from the other tribes that did a great service to the Mortichyte in life. Vast Catacombs are said to exist throughout the Mortichyte Kabals, However Outsiders are never permitted to set foot in this most sacred of Holy places. Of the Drir, the Mortichyte are the most prevalent, and while various Mortichyte Kabals war one one another from time to time, they are nowhere near as violent as the Ah-mi'mae-rune.
Noteable Mortichyte Kabals: Krovanar, Onogol, Marg, Kelset, Rhote, Menal, Trasa, Sarma, Barcot, Chall
-=- The Ah-mi'mae-rune -=-
Specializing in Blood Magic, the Ah-mi'mae-rune of Drir are aggressive to a point of absurdity. Nearly all confrontations come to Violence, and they have a particular tenancy to war among themselves. Time spent not warring against another Tribes is filled with the most conflict, as the various Kabals war endless war on one another in the absence of another tribe to harass. All tribes of Drir Practice ritualistic Cannibalism, but the Ah-mi'mae-rune are the only tribe to regularly ingest the brain of their victims, with the brains of Dacians being the most prized of Delicacies. They regularly clash with the Mortichyte over their use of their dead, and are usually so aggressive that the more peaceful Peleset tribe just avoids them. When The Ah-mi'mae-rune go to war, they do so under a red banner Dyed Fresh with the blood of a fresh Sacrifice, adored with the skull and entrails hung for decoration.
Noteable Ah-mi'mae-rune Kabals Rex-zuul, Kxc'Spari, Rivari, Ai'zhen, there are more, but most Ah-mi'mae-rune are too Savage to speak an understandable language.
-=- The Peleset -=- – While the Peleset Specialize in Summoning, they also are capeable of devineing the future by reading the disemboweled entrails of a Sacrifice. The Peleset tribes of Drir are said to descended from the shipwrights of the original Malificar that first fled to the isles of Drir in the aftermath of the Purges. The Peleset tribe adopts a morally neutral stance regarding demons and death, and has a penchant for summoning and enslaving demons, as well as warning the other tribes of oncoming storms or passing ships. When the rare Occasions arise that the outside world does choose to communicate with Drir, they usually do so with the Peleset. The Peleset never open attacked any outside nation, but the amount of ships that seem to go missing at sea seems to steeply increase whenever Peleset waters are crossed. Regardless, the Peleset have a wide arrary of shipwrecks to scavenge from, and as such they tend to have the best and most varied trade goods, making them the tribe with the most wealth. For this reason, the Peleset are able to arm themselves with scavenged metal reworked into spears, and crowns of warped Dacien Silver. There are fewer Peleset Kabals, but their numbers tend to be larger.
Noteable Peleset Kabals El'dreti, Skivin, Pelnebore
Drir Government. Each island is home to a Kabal, and each Kabal's leader inherits the name of the kabal inplace of their birth surname. ((IE: Darcoth Anassazi became Lord Darcoth Krovanar when he took leadership of the Krovanar Kabal)) Determineing Succession varies from Kabal to Kabal, The Peleset elect a Leader among the eldest of their Number, while the current Mortychyte Kabal leaders typically choose a succesor, and the Ah-mi'mae-rune have a quick turnover from one Kabal leader to the next, as succession is determined with a battle royal between all challengers for Leadership.
Drir Society Drir life and culture varies greatly from tribe to tribe, but there are a few things that remain the same across them all. First and foremost is the unusual Zeal for life that they all have. With Necromancy ingrained into so much a part of their culture, the Drir readily recognize the value and sanctity of life, knowing all to well the fate that all of humanity much share. As such, Drir festivals are anything, but drier. Music featuring heavy drums, Fire dancers, and effigies made of discarded bones are all present at the typical Drir festival, which in and off itself is seen to be a representation of life itself, ending with Powerful Necromancers animating all the bone effigies to rise and do battle with one another, which the Drir spectators watching in a circle, dancing with merriment, placing bets, and consuming a strange fermented mushroom concoction that's reportedly brewed with an extremely Venomous Black Vipers in every gourd of it. As a Tribal Society, many of the finer aspect of civilized life, especially that of the nobility, are simply lost to them.
