Council of Elders:
These massive festivals are a cross between a county fair, a political summit, and a family reunion. Every midsummer, the Trahazi come from far and wide to a location (determined at the last season’s meeting) and reunite as families to catch up and trade information, goods, and well wishes. These festivals are held primarily in locations that are deserted as they do not wish to draw the attention of those that oppose such gatherings. Over time, these festivals have gone from clandestine family get togethers to massive gatherings of Trahazi families and anyone else who wishes to join in the festivities and take advantage of the immense trade and social connections that could be made (not to mention markets with goods from all across the world). Outsiders used to not be allowed into these gatherings at all as they were more often than not those that would cause grief for the families. Over time, however, more and more have begged entry into the gathering and have provided great opportunities for the Trahazi in exchange for a chance to procure goods and services or offer their own to willing parties.
